OK, since the name of this blog is About Mark Vaughn, I guess I should tell you a little something about me. I was born and reared in a small town in South Carolina. It was kind of nice growing up in that small town....and no, it wasn't Mayberry....but not too far off. It was the kind of place where you knew just about everybody and you didn't have to worry much about anything. At least that was what I thought when I was growing up.
The town's claim to fame was the tobacco industry. There were plenty of tobacco fields and barns that were used to cure the tobacco. There were the warehouses that were owned by prominent businessmen to sell the tobacco to the companies. We even had a Tobacco Festival to celebrate the town's money crop.
That's the kind of place I grew up in. Now I live in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina - a place that has a rich historical and cultural heritage. I've been in sales and marketing my entire career with a few different companies.
Over the past several years I have been developing an online business in the Internet Marketing arena. Let me just say - WOW - the internet is a whole 'nuther animal as we say in the south. There was so much to learn and not many people to show you the right way to go. Needless to say, I have learned from some mistakes and found quite a few people to trust along the way.
My success is growing more and more everyday. There are, of course, different ways to measure success. Some days success comes in the form of a sale while another day it comes when I complete a task that I have been working on for a while. Learning and understanding that this is a business has helped me to not only make money doing this but to be able to help other folks along the way.
